The measurement system provided by Elkome is based on the modular Gantner Q.Brixx. The compact measurement system included the central unit and the required number of I/O modules for connecting voltage messages and IEPE-type vibration sensors. The accurate Q.Brixx measuring units have 24-bit resolution and the galvanic separation of channels.
The Gantner Q.Brixx measurement system can be easily expanded according to the needs. Meyer’s system currently has 8 distance sensors and one accelerometer, but the system is meant to be expanded. A total of 16 Q.Brixx’s measurement modules can be connected to one system.
Gantner Q.Brixx acts as a standalone data collector, so it will automatically continue to work during power outages. Due to the high measurement frequency and the long-lasting measurements, the internal memory of the system was expanded with a USB-connected mass memory. DASYLab measurement software was used for real-time monitoring of the measurement data.
