Encompassing testing to ensure quality

Standard electric safety tests are made to Enervent Zehnder's A/C units. For the base of the new testing system, Elkome's automatic electric safety tester was chosen. It's functionality could be easily expanded for other testing too. In addition to the electric safety test, an encompassing sensor and I/O test is now performed to ensure functionality. Furthermore, the tester can read data from the machine's Modbus channel and store them in the database.

Automatization of the testing enhances production

The testing of the air conditioners were wanted to be improved and automated. With the new tester, all test-related choices and setting are now made programmatically and the confirming of the test programs was fulfilled with a cloud-based solution, where the database of the tester is synchronized to the cloud server once a minute. The automatization of the testing speeds up production, improves the reliability of the tests and makes reporting as well as tracking possible.

Make testing easier and faster

To speed up the testing process, the system has a magnetic sensor that is easy and quick to attach. The sensor is used to measure the continuity of earthing. With the magnetic sensor, the slow process of attaching cables is now avoided. The testing of circuit boards was also wanted to be faster and for that purpose a jig is design and produced for the tester for fast connections. In addition to the automatization, the testing can be enhanced with different adapters and pallets.
