Geotechnical sensors are used in earthworks as well as monitoring and protecting buildings, bridges, dams, tunnels and mines. The sensors can measure pressure, force, strain or temperature. We also provide inclinometers and tilt sensors for measuring tilt angles, pressure sensors for measuring groundwater and pore water, extensometers for measuring ground movements and subsidence as well as crevice sensors for measuring cracks in rocks and cement structures.
BeanAir is a measurement and data collection system based on the wireless sensor network. Because of the universal transmitter units and Elkome's wide range of different sensors, this system is excellent for geotechnical measurements, such as monitoring cracks with strain gauges or tracking ground pressure with pressure sensors.
Dataloggers are independent measurement devices that are easy to leave at the site to collect data. The built-in battery and memory makes it that a separate computer is not needed for data collection. You can often form a remote connection to the datalogger and you can check and monitor the measurements from, for example, a browser. Elkome has a wide range of dataloggers for measuring different phenomenoms as well as models specifically for geotechnical measurements.
