Comprehensive testing in quality assurance 

Enervent Zehnder's IV machines undergo electrical safety testing according to standards. Elkome's automatic electrical safety tester was chosen as the body of the new testing system, whose functionality could easily be extended to other tests as well. In addition to electrical safety testing, the tester now performs comprehensive sensor and I/O testing to ensure functionality. In addition, the tester reads data from the Modbus bus of the IV machine and saves them in the database. 

Automation of testing makes production more efficient 

Customer wanted to improve and automate the testing of IV machines. With the new tester, all selections and settings related to testing are made programmatically. The verification of test results and test programs was implemented with a cloud-based solution, where the tester's database is synchronized to the cloud server once a minute. Automation of testing speeds up production, improves the reliability of testing and enables reporting and traceability. 

Making product testing easier and faster 

In order to speed up the testing process, a magnetic sensor that can be easily and quickly attached to the testing system was designed. The sensor is used to measure grounding continuity. The magnetic sensor avoids the slow attachment of wires to the machine under test. We also want to speed up the testing of the circuit board, and for that a jig is designed and manufactured for the tester to quickly connect the connections. In addition to automation, testing can be enhanced with various adapter and pallet solutions.
